As commonly the plumbing pipes are hidden, and it is not a surprise if a pipe leakage or joint leakage is there at any point of plumbing line. Being unexposed one it can't be covered well in time and therefore, the increment in leakage/hole is natural. And this increasing leakage causes major loss before appearance and repairing.

It is very necessary to avoid the loss because of such hidden leakage. A simple solution is the covering of plumbing pipes with a considerable thick plastic pipe. After the completion of the plumbing piping and checking of entire line through supplying water at full pressure, the line should be covered with an additional plastic pipe line.

This additional covering should also be made leaking proof. Thickness of the pipe should be more than sufficient. This additional line should not be ended at the home drainage. It should be ended at an open place in such a way that it may be exposed. The purpose of this exposure is that if any time there is a leakage from the surface of basic pipe, joint or equipment, this ending point would be only the outlet for the leaked water.

If there is not vent of water from this point even for 5/6 years or more, it means the hidden pipe line is quite healthy. If any time the flow of water from this point is noticed, of course it means that in the basic pipe line there is a leakage at any point. Then by removing the upper plastic pipe line we can easily find the leakage point. Either replacement or repairing of any socket, elbow, tee, union or pipe is required may be done.

During this replacement or repairing, the other parts of the line can also be checked and the needful step can be taken. After this the upper plastic pipe line should again be installed. From the appearance of problem/leakage to the repairing or replacement, instead of feeling tense we would be happy. Because our planning enabled us to find easily a leakage from a hidden pipe line and further enabled to remove the problem properly.

Besides after covering the basic pipe line again, we would be much comfortable because our building is completely safe and sound from any hidden leakage. This covering is not a costly but because of it we can save our precious time and a reasonable portion of money. We can very well assess the loss to our building and remainder portion of the pipe line due to a hidden leakage. Up till its appearance it has been converted into a major loss.

This appearance is known as the plumbing emergency which demands the suspension of complete water supply for a reasonable time. We are unable to use our kitchen and bathrooms during the repairing process which is naturally painful. In addition to this, repairing of damaged portion of building and plumbing takes reasonable time and money. Upshot is that by spending a little money and time on above said covering, we can get satisfaction, protection and save time and money.
